RUNR DRINKS RECEPTION

Oxfordshire, UK 2021

This was a test event to thank our crew and supporters, following a series of events coming out of Covid lockdown. Our event domes can be themed and covered in various colours/clear/printed finishes as per the requirement of your event. They seat 10-12 people, or 15 people standing comfortably, and have so far been used for leisure, corporate, educational, creative, sport and sensory events. Contact us if you’d like to learn more.

RUNR PROMO

RUNR PROMO

Thame, UK 2021

During the gap between first and second Covid 19 lockdown – we were lucky enough to obtain funding to begin running dedicated creative workshop events for young people. We had a series of groups create a video on a giant canvas, choreographed by our incredible friends from G-Rock, alongside KTP and all our educator volunteers. See for yourself how brilliant our young people are!

Assembled, rehearsed and filmed in less than 6 hours – we hope you enjoy!

RUNR BUBBLE GIG

RUNR BUBBLE GIG

Thame, UK 2021

Once again, during the gap between first and second Covid 19 lockdown – we spent the evening entertaining bubbles of invited guests at a private live music gig in Oxfordshire. With government restrictions changing on an almost daily basis, we decided to put on a show, assemble a totally new band, and played tunes we had been missing. We worked with South Oxfordshire District Council and the local police, to ensure all was within the Covid and event safe guidelines at the time. We are very glad we did, it cheered us all up as much as it did our audience, and reminded us all that we work in a wonderful industry, of talented and ‘viable’ people.

BRUM SUMMER IN SOUTHSIDE

BRUM SUMMER IN SOUTHSIDE

Birmingham, UK 2019

Provision of art activities and set dressing for the pedestrian areas around the Birmingham Hippodrome for the celebration of 50 years since the moon landing. We engaged with over 1500 children and their families over 3 days, supporting the theatre in their outreach work. We made spacemen, aliens, graffiti sculptures, a twinkling star and planet sky, rockets and fished in our future pond.

BRUM SCHOOLS

BRUM SCHOOLS

Summer in Southside Outreach, UK 2019

Over 8 weeks, we carried out sculpture workshops in schools around Birmingham. These were under the theme of 50 years since the moon landing. We had a very small budget to provide teaching and making support, with sustainable materials, culminating in pieces displayed at Summer in Southside. It was wonderful to see how proud the young makers and their families were, on seeing their work displayed in a large public event later in the summer.

RUNR SENSORY PLAYSPACES

RUNR SENSORY PLAYSPACES

Thame, UK 2021

Part of our funded outdoor learning events, involved a series of sensory making activities, exploring shelter, nature and colour, and of course ended in a paint fight. Revenge at last for the young folks on us all!

Still in the aftermath of Covid, we naturally worked with smaller groups across two sites. Sensory painting, play and making and learning about the value of grounding, balancing and sensory feedback through age appropriate language.

ECO WORKSHOP

Beekeeping, the good and bad effects of rain and sun, and homemade paint were the topics of our eco workshop. We benefit from a wealth of amazing skills from our wider network of educators and creative artists, and so are able to make any aspect of the curriculum into a making activity, or sensory exploration. We like to engage with cross curricular learning and always do things at a memorable scale.

This was a day long workshop for outdoor learning, movement, team working, deaf awareness, and creative play. The groups were still subject to some lockdown restrictions, so we worked on a series of art pieces in group, exploring rhyme, texture, colour and nature. We might have got a bit messy, not like us at all!
